Blogging for the sake of Blogging

Lordy, aren't I good at updating?! Sorry, but life tends to get in the way (plus, I can never remember how to get to my blog in order to post.) Anywho, here's another story.

It amazes me sometimes how quickly I lose interest in things. Say for instance, cleaning my room. I was really gung-ho about it in the beginning. I basically had my entire wardrobe on my bed and I was going through and making piles. One pile were things I knew to be cleaned and needed to be put away, another were things that needed to be cleaned and so were put in the laundry basket. The smallest pile were things that I never wore and intended to donate to some charity. Well, I got the laundry downstairs and into the wash and I hung up all of my skirts, but then I lost momentum and stopped. So, now I have a huge pile of clothes on the floor, a basket full of clean clothes (and not all of them folded) and a bunch of other crap on the floor. So, every night as I go to bed and make my way through this obstacle of a mess, I tell myself that I REALLY need to do something about it, but I just can't seem to bring myself to do so. Yeah, I think that makes me a slob.

Trying to blog again.

I know, I know! It's been MONTHS since I've posted anything. To those two or three people who read this, I apologize. In all honesty, I forgot that I had the damn thing. But on to more interesting things.

I continue my search to meet intersting and new people. To that end, I have decided to find myself a community theater where I can hone my skills as a mediocre actress. I high school, I was quite the thespian and now I really miss it. In other personal betterment news, I have also decided to find myself a flute teacher and take up playing again. Another mediocre skill of mine that I enjoyed and now miss. I was talking to my mom about how AVERAGE I find myself. That there is nothing that I'm TRULY amazing at. She reminded me that I'm a great sister, daughter and friend. While those are all great things, I'm talking about basic talent. Looking back, I can't find ANYTHING that I've truly excelled at. That doesn't mean that I haven't enjoyed what I've done, just that I have never excelled at any of it. So, I will push forward in my quest to find my hidden talent!

I am also happy to report that I will be moving in with two very EXCELLENT people on December 31. Claire and Angie have both graciously offered me a room in their home and I have graciously taken it. I'm very excited to be living a great home with great people and fully intend to have a great time (while cutting back on my use of the word great).

Have I babbled on enough yet? I think so, and so bid you all a fond farewell. I'll meander at you again soon. Well, at least sooner than last time.

Blog from long ago.

So, I've been doing this online dating thing since about May/June area. I've had a good time. I had forgotten how much fun dating and meeting new people was. I am 24 (almost 25) and have only had two SERIOUS relationships. So, when I got my first real world job, a place of my own (and all of my friends started getting engaged) I decided that I needed to remedy this situation. Not that I'm necessarily looking for anything SERIOUS (or to get engaged), but I would like to have more experiences before I DO find someone. You know what I mean?

My very first blog!

I have been told all of my life that said life is not fair. So, my goal was to make it as fair for me as possible. I am a huge fan of playing devil's advocate, being contradictory and just plan obstinate! I have found though that it just makes life un-necessarily difficult- and who wants to live like that? So, for now I will go with the flow and see where it takes me... who knows, I may just like it!

P.S. Don't you just love the orange in my template? It's the color of enlightenment you know!
